PAST TEAM PROJECT
European joist tape project: from reference sample to packed rolls
A past team project covering black facing, bitumen adhesive, release liner and pallet support for a European decking buyer.
Project background
This case describes experience gained by Hendur’s team before the company was established in 2025. The customer’s name, pricing and proprietary specifications are withheld. The photographs document material selection and finished rolls from that project.
The buyer’s brief
A European decking buyer needed a joist protection tape with a clean black surface, suitable adhesive handling and a commercially workable construction. The reference roll helped establish the target appearance and the details to compare during sampling.
The work involved several linked choices: facing, bitumen adhesive, release liner, finished roll presentation and export packing.

What was coordinated
- Black facing: compare the surface appearance and finish against the buyer’s reference.
- Bitumen adhesive: review cohesion and handling alongside the facing choice.
- Release liner: match the liner and peeling behavior to the product brief.
- Rolls and packing: follow the agreed construction into production and address protection during palletizing.
The packing detail that also needed attention
Pallet-related deformation required a packing adjustment. Wooden battens were added as part of the support arrangement. The lesson was practical: approving the tape sample did not complete the work; the loading and support of the packed rolls also needed attention.
What a new buyer can take from the project
Keep the reference sample, facing, adhesive, liner and packing requirements connected in one approval record. Review the finished roll and the export pack as well as the material sample.
For a new order, current materials, specifications, test requirements, MOQ and lead time must be confirmed again. See our current joist tape supply options and private-label sourcing checklist.
